Description
Folklore named the February full moon the Snow Moon. Since the heaviest snow usually falls during this month, native tribes of the north and east most often called February’s full Moon the Full Snow Moon. Some tribes also referred to this Moon as the Full Hunger Moon, since harsh weather conditions in their areas made hunting very difficult. We are experiencing very small snowfall this Winter but on this night the air was brisk. It was a treat to get a peak at the moon on this night. Lasted only a few minutes before the moon tucked in behind the clouds. This is my favorite location around the Cleveland, Ohio are to capture the moon rise.
